Known internationally for his revolutionary designs, Charles Nicholson had a significant influence on the development of yachting. He designed all the British-built J-class yachts, four America's Cup challengers, and such schooners as "Margherita" and "Creole". Yacht historian William Collier chronicles the development of Nicholson's designs from the 1890s to World War II, and Italian photographer Franco Pace provides stunning colour photographs of these classic boats.
