Facing the Frozen Ocean

The account of The Arnold and Son Trans Atlantic Arctic Expedition 2003 which aims to set a World Record for the first complete crossing of ther North Atlantic just south of the Arctic Circle in an "open" rigid inflatable boat. Starting in Halifax the crew in the RIB will cross the Labrador Sea, to the vast ice packs off the coast of Greenland, across the Arctic Sea to Iceland. After refuelling in Iceland they will continue down the 800-mile leg down to the North coast of Scotland, one of the most remote and storm-ridden areas on the route.
