Kent, one of America's most famous graphic artists, was an avid traveller. Especially fascinated by remote Arctic lands, he often stayed for extended periods of time to paint, write, and get to know the local inhabitants. Between 1918 and 1935, he wrote and illustrated several books about his travels. This one, originally published in 1924, is the story of his sailing voyage to Tierra del Fuego. Illustrated with Kent's distinctive woodcuts, it was published to great critical acclaim.
