Waters of Time

At its peak London was Britain's leading port. The PLA controlled nearly seventy miles of the tidal Thames, as well as the great dock systems and countless wharfs. This DVD contains four films that capture the glory and splendour of London's docklands from the 1920s to the 1960s. PORT OF LONDON 1921 is a silent film that records the expansion of the docks in the 1920s. WATERS OF TIME features some fine aerial footage of Docklands. The 1960s' THE VITAL LINK gives a detailed account of the PLA's work and includes an excellent tour of the main dock system.
