General Ship Knowledge 3

This exam is of open book format, and is entirely based upon Laws, Acts and Regulations pertaining to various aspects of the shipboard and seagoing profession. Workplace safety and environmental protection are  of particular importance.

Though it is an open book exam, we recommend that you download and briefly read over the required publications. Don’t worry about actually trying to learn each entire publication, that would be impossible! You should aim to make sure that you know which regulations deal with which issues, and have some idea of the layout of them, that way you will be able to find answers to the questions in good time.
