Racundra’s Third Cruise

2nd ed. ‘Swallows & Amazons? author, Arthur Ransome, was a journalist based in Russia. He is reputed to have played chess against Lenin and he married Trotsky?s secretary, Evgenia Shelepina. ‘Racundra?s Third Cruise’ was their honeymoon. Ransome intended to publish the account of this cruise, but never finished it. Ransome enthusiast, Brian Hammett, used the unpublished manuscript and Ransome?s hand-written notes, diaries, logbooks and photographs to compile this book, adding his own notes from his cruises in the same area.
