IAMSAR Manual Vol. III: Mobile Facilities IH962E
by IMO - International Maritime Organization
This is the definitive Maritime Search and Rescue manual, required on board every ship. IAMSAR provides a single, global standard for search and rescue operation. Most importantly it describes the practice-related details, so that when communication isn’t possible different parties can understand intentions. It ensures those inhabitants of the maritime environment all play by the same rules when it comes to performing search and rescue.
The book is produced as a plasticized ring-bound folder suitable for storage on a ship’s bridge. In particular, it is also set up to contain a series of checklists to aid practitioners of search and rescue. It is available in English and French, as well as other languages.
