  1. Ontario Sailor

First published in French in 1980 by sailor Jacques Patuelli, this updated cruising guide was last published in English in 2013. It covers a large area, all of the Lesser Antilles and most of the popular places frequented by sailors in the Leeward and Windward Islands in the Caribbean. There are new details on each island, including colour aerial shots on harbours and anchorages, and photographs on tourist stops. The book features chartlets that list depth, safe anchorages and approaches, along with GPS coordinates to help with navigation. Each island has its own section, with general information on cities and towns (some history, economic outlook, and top tourist spots). With the help from Frederique Marciaro, who ran a marina in the area, Patuelli has come up with a great resource for cruisers. The book opens with general details on climate (hurricane tracks), flora and fauna (dangerous fish), currencies along with airports and customs, and ends with a listing on marinas and some ratings, and a list of marine businesses on each island.
