Cornell’s Ocean Atlas
by Cornell, Jimmy & Ivan Cornell
2nd ed. Designed to help distance cruisers plan passages, Cornell’s pilot charts provide month-by-month indications of winds and currents–now updated by incorporating satellite-gathered data gathered during the last five years (2011-2016). The second edition includes monthly windgrams for the most sailed ocean routes. Windgrams are a summary of wind direction and strength derived from the individual windroses along a specific ocean route. All oceans are covered; more detail is given for popular cruising areas such as the waters between the Canary Islands, American east coast, and eastern Caribbean, the Pacific from California to Tahiti, and others.
