British and German Battlecruisers
by Cosentino Michele & Ruggero Stanglini
After decades of the Royal Navy and the French Marine positioning themselves as each others rival, in the last decade of the 19th C, the situation changed. Inspired by Mahan, Kaiser Wilhelm II decided to make Imperial Germany a global empire, and the Kaiserliche Marine a Navy that could challenge the Royal Navy. This volume examines how British and German warships designs evolved in context of that rivalry.
