The Warship Anne: An Illustrated History
by Endsor, Richard
On the shore at Hastings, England, an amazing sight is revealed at low tide: the remarkably complete remains of a 17th-century warship, HMS "Anne". The ship, launched in 1678, ran aground in 1690 during the battle of Beachy Head and was torched to prevent capture by the enemy. The wreck is owned by the Hastings Shipwreck Museum, which has recently attempted to bring the "Anne" back to life using simulation and modelling.
